Fans of top iOS game Infinity Blade should set calendar app reminders for December 1, as that's when Infinity Blade 2 arrives on the App Store.
New fighting styles, enemies and bosses are joined by a Clash Mob mode that Epic Games says will be a "massively social" challenge with rare weapons and items dished out as rewards.
The game was announced as part of Apple's October 4 press conferences, at which iOS 5 and the iPhone 4S were announced.
It will use iOS 5's iCloud to transfer game progress between devices, and Epic VP Mark Rein stated that the title would be at its best on the iPhone 4S -- though presence on other iPhone variants was not ruled out.
Infinity Blade brought in more than $11 million for Epic in the eight months since a December 2010 debut, easily recouping the $2m development cost.
Despite a relatively high price on the store ($5.99 outside of sale promotions) up to half of Infinity Blade's profits are thought to come from in-app purchases made by players eager to boost their abilities.
Since its release, others have made attempts to outdo its graphical accomplishments, among them Rage HD, Shadowgun and the recently announced Bladeslinger.
